Privacy Policy
AnswerEng is a service of Fullspec Studio LLC ("we", "us"). It measures how often AI answer engines recommend your products or your business. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted. Questions: hello@answereng.io.
What we collect
Account information
- Email address. You give it to us when you sign up. We use it to send your API key, and it is also recorded as a label on that key.
- Sign-in account (dashboard users). If you sign in to the AnswerEng dashboard, we store your email address, a user identifier, and whether your email is verified. We also store the workspaces, projects, and invitations you belong to. We keep an audit log of changes to access and settings.
Catalog data from your store
The AnswerEng for WooCommerce plugin sends the following for each published product: SKU, title, short description, price, category, and attributes. It also sends your store key (by default, your site's domain name) and the brand and competitor names you enter. The plugin never sends product images, customer data, or order data.
Measurement data
To measure your visibility, we generate shopping and brand questions from your catalog and ask them to AI answer engines. We keep the questions, the engines' answers, our analysis of those answers, and the fixes we draft for you.
Billing information
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. We store your Stripe customer identifier and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
Technical logs
Our servers record operational logs, such as request identifiers and error details, so we can run and secure the service.
The answereng.io website
The website uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you visit.
How we use it
We use your data to provide AnswerEng: to deliver API keys and invitations, sync your catalog, run measurements, show results, draft fixes, bill paid plans, prevent abuse, and respond to you. We do not sell your data. We do not use your catalog or results to train AI models.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run AnswerEng:

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.
How long we keep it
- Raw AI answers are deleted automatically 180 days after we collect them.
- Dashboard invitations expire after 7 days.
- Account, catalog, and measurement data are kept while your account is active and until you ask us to delete them.
- Database backups are kept for 1 day. We may also take a backup snapshot before a major change, and we delete those within 30 days. So deleted data can remain in backups for up to 30 days.
- Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. Records of administrative actions taken by our operators are kept for 1 year.
- Billing records are also kept by Stripe under its own policies.
Uninstalling the WooCommerce plugin removes its settings from your WordPress site. It does not delete your data from AnswerEng. To do that, email us.
Your choices and rights
Email hello@answereng.io from the address on your account to ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. We complete deletion requests within 30 days. We confirm your identity before acting on a request. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, such as the GDPR or the CCPA. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Stored AI answers are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the service. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
International transfers
AnswerEng runs in the United States (AWS us-west-2, Oregon). If you use it from another country, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Children
AnswerEng is a business service. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will also email account holders.
